that internal punishment. the way you speak to yourself in the gap after stopping. that’s what makes it harder to come back. not the stopping itself.

the stopping is just a stopping. it’s neutral. it’s what happens next that does the damage.

you’re not inconsistent. you’re running a pattern that worked really well in one place, and it’s running on you somewhere else entirely.
